About the artist
Isabel is an award winning wildlife and nature artist from Germany. Her attention is focused especially on wild animals, but also on botanicals and landscapes. It is her pleasure to capture the beauty of nature with all its bright colors and the delicate play of light and shadow in a high level of detail. She puts her heart and soul in every artwork to achieve a unique and photorealistic result.

Isabel studied architecture at university. After graduating with a diploma, she continued architecture in her career, designing luxury single-family homes.
Painting and drawing have been a part of her life since childhood. From an early age on she taught herself how to paint with oil paints, acrylics and watercolours and how to draw with pastels, coloured pencils, and charcoals and has been always passionate about it.
From the age of 18 she took commissions for human portraits, landscapes, botanicals and animal paintings as well as murals.
She is fascinated by wild animals, but she also loves to paint flowers and landscapes.“
„I love to be in nature. It makes me feel alive. Whether I go hiking, paddling or just listening to the birds singing, I feel deeply connected to nature.“
During her studies Isabel was living and working in South Africa for 1/2 year. While travelling in her free time, her love for nature, especially wildlife, grew even more.
After having 3 children she made her longstanding dream of becoming a professional artist come true in 2021 and could not be happier. In recent years she has taken part in various international competitions and received several awards for her art. Her work is found in national and international exhibitions and at an art gallery in the UK.
It is important to her to raise awareness for endangered species with her work and support wildlife charities.
In her free time Isabel loves to breed butterflies. “To watch them grow from a hungry caterpillar to the finished butterfly is magical.” After hatching out of the chrysalises she lets them fly away and draws or paints them from the photos she takes.
