Wildlife & Nature Art
paintings & drawings for nature lovers
I’m very excited to be one of the 27 teaching artists for Paint Your Heart & Soul 2027 – Around the World Through Art!
And now it’s finally time: registration is open!
For my contribution, I’m taking you to South Africa – a country that is very close to my heart.
During my time there earlier this year, I worked closely with wildlife as part of conservation projects and captured thousands of photographs, hours of video footage and many unforgettable experiences.
I also painted throughout my journey, creating sketches and paintings in watercolour.
Watercolour turned out to be the perfect medium to capture the light, atmosphere and unique character of this incredible place.
I’m now bringing some of those experiences into my two projects:
My main lesson will feature an elephant and I’m also preparing a little bonus lesson with a cheetah in the golden South African light.
Main Lesson: Echoes of Africa: Painting an Elephant
Bonus Lesson: Wild at Heart: Painting a Cheetah in Golden Light
Both projects will be taught in watercolour and are inspired by my own experiences and encounters in South Africa.
