Wildlife Painting Challenge 2025

What a year! - Recap

In 2025, I launched the Wildlife Painting Challenge, a year-long creative project that brought together art, community, and a shared love for the natural world. What began as a simple idea — to paint one small wildlife artwork each week — evolved into a vibrant and inspiring exchange with artists and followers from around the world.

Every week, I created a new miniature wildlife painting, exploring different species, textures, and moods. A particularly meaningful aspect of the challenge was the strong community involvement: at the end of each week, I invited my audience on Instagram to suggest animals for the following painting. The suggestions were then voted on via Instagram Stories, allowing the community to actively shape the direction of the project.

In addition to creating my own paintings, I invited fellow artists to participate in the challenge. Throughout the year, I shared their interpretations and artworks on my Instagram account, highlighting the diversity of styles and approaches within wildlife art. The result was an ongoing dialogue between artists, nature enthusiasts, and collectors — all connected through a shared weekly ritual of creativity.

The challenge not only strengthened my artistic discipline but also deepened my engagement with wildlife subjects. Working in a consistent, small format encouraged experimentation while maintaining focus and continuity across the series.

Looking back, the Wildlife Painting Challenge 2025 was far more than a series of weekly paintings. It became a collaborative experience, a source of creative momentum, and a celebration of wildlife through art.

I am deeply grateful to everyone who contributed ideas, voted, participated, and followed along throughout the year. This project has left a lasting imprint on my artistic journey — and it certainly won’t be the last challenge of its kind.
